Norman Leroy Klose

Norman Leroy Klose, age 78, of Abingdon, Va., went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 21, 2021, at Johnson City Medical Center.  He hails from Washington Crossing, Penn. and was the youngest of six children born to the late William Valentine Klose and Gertrude Ann Briggs Klose.  Norman was a veteran of the United States Air Force and retired from AT&T.  He was a member of Abingdon Baptist Church. 

Norman is survived by his wife of 29 years, Margaret Ann Klose; son, William Joseph Klose and wife, Angella Ann, of Abingdon, Va; and three grandchildren, Abigail Breanne Sluss, Lydia Marie Sluss, and Isabella Grace Pierson.    

A funeral ceremony will be held on Wednesday, March 24, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Abingdon Baptist Church, 361 W. Main St., Abingdon, Va. 24210, with Pastor Bill Bryan officiating.  A committal service will follow at the Serenity Garden Mausoleum of Forest Hills Memory Gardens.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. at the church prior to the service.     

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ecumenical Faith in Action, P.O. Box 2419, Abingdon, Va. 24212.
