Novella Marie Kiser Thompson, age 86, of Bristol, Va., went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 12, 2018, at the Wellmont Hospice House. She was born October 21, 1931, to the late Beverly B. Kiser and Alice Musick Kiser. She was a member of Fellowship Chapel and retired from Moore’s Quality Snack Foods after 27 years of service. In addition to her parents, Novella was also preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Fredrick Charles Thompson; two brothers, Lonnie Kiser and Elmer Kiser; and six sisters, Vennie Musick, Fonnie Duty, Ollie Wilson, Karmie Farmer, Rosie Musick, and Magelena Musick.
She is survived by two sons, Mark Keith Thompson and wife, Debra Jones Thompson, of Bristol, Va. and Fredrick Dean Thompson and wife, Connie Clark Thompson, of Bristol, Tenn.; brother, Dewey Kiser; four sisters, Irene Musick, Shirley Sykes, Ella Dean Keith, and Bonnie Jean Breeding; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 15, 2018, at Fellowship Chapel, 201 Crockett St., Bristol, VA 24201, with Pastor Scott Price and Chaplain Danny Thompson officiating. A committal service will follow in the mausoleum of Mountain View Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. Sunday at the church prior to the service.
