Ola C. David

Abingdon, VA Ola C. David, age 93, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 8, 2015, at her home. She was of the Baptist faith and had been retired for thirty years from U.S. Tobacco. Ola was born to the late William Clark and Josephine Lester “Josie” Clark. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Glen Shaffer David; son, Ronald Franklin “Frank” David; four brothers and six sisters. Ola is survived by her daughter-in-law, Stephanie Smith David of Richlands, VA; three grandchildren: Christopher Franklin David of Southern Shores, NC; Alison David Hagerman and husband Robert of Abingdon, VA; and Joshua Sutton David of Bristol, VA; great- grandchild, Mattingly Johnson David of Greenville, NC; and several nieces and nephews. There will be no formal visitation. A cryptside service will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. in the Colonial Chapel Mausoleum of Forest Hills Memory Gardens with Minister Bill Neeley officiating.
