Omer Henry Kolling, Jr., age 60, better known as "Skip" born in Abingdon on May 17, 1959, died in a fatal car crash on Wednesday, January 22, 2020. He was raised in Abingdon then moved around, eventually moving back to Abingdon. He liked fishing, loved animals and when he found a game he liked it could be hard to tear him away.
Omer was preceded in death by his parents, Omer Henry Kolling, Sr. and Ardis Jorgenson Kolling; and a brother, Bradley LuVerne Swanson.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Pamela Lynn Fusselle Kolling; brother, Lance Kolling and wife, Christy, of Abingdon; three sisters: Susan Cooper and husband, Steve, of Chantilly, Va.; Christine Hipolito and husband, Arthur, of Plantation, Fla.; and Alicia Osborne and husband, Russell, of Milford, Va.; along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was loving husband and brother.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 26, 2020, from 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service. Services will be private and interment will be in Forest Hills Memory Gardens.
