Mrs. Pamela Albertha Sexton Minnick, age 59, passed away on Wednesday July 20, 2016 in the Bristol Regional Medical Center. Pam was a lifelong resident of Washington County Va. She earned an Associates of Nursing Degree and had worked for 10 years at the Bristol Regional Medical Center, where she was recognized as Nurse of the Year 2015. She was an avid bowler and a member of the Star Dust League at Interstate Lanes.
Pam was preceded in death by her parents Walter Sexton and Mary Miller; brothers Roger (Jackie) and Charles (Debbie) Sexton. She is survived by her husband Roy Minnick, daughter Sandy Minnick; sons Mark and Rick Minnick all of Bristol; 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; brothers Scott Sexton (Glenda) of Glade Spring, Va., Dale Sexton of Bristol, Va., and Wayne Sexton of Abingdon; sisters Marlene Dickenson (John) of Brstol, Va., and Annette Caudill of Bristol, TN; brothers-in-law Henry Minnick (Charlotte) of Richmond, Va., Kenny Minnick (Joan) of Roseville, CA, and Doug Minnick (Lisa) of Mt. Pleasant, SC.
A funeral service for Pamela Albertha Sexton Minnick will be held on Sunday July 24, 2016 at 2:00 PM at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Pastor Scott Watson officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memory Gardens, where John Winebarger, John Dickenson, Darrell Dickenson, Trey Hobbs, Mark Minnick and Rick Minnick will serve as pall bearers. Honorary bearers will be Dalton Pruitt and the Staff of Welmont 2-E. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 PM 8:00 PM Saturday July 23, 2016.
