Patricia Mae Sharp Myers

Patricia Mae Sharp Myers, age 92, of Abingdon, Va., passed away on Thursday, May 25, 2017, at her home follow a lengthy battle with dementia. She was born to the late Maurice Sharp and Becca Brant Sharp on March 7, 1925, in Frankfort, Ind. Patricia was a member of Pleasant View United Methodist Church for 51 years. She worked as a realtor and broker in the Abingdon area for 30 years having received many awards for her diligent service.

In addition to her parents, Patricia was also preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Robert Harold Myers; and two brothers, Robert Sharp and Joseph Sharp.

She is survived by her son, Randy Robert Myers and wife Joanne of Charlotte, N.C.; two daughters, Brook Ellen Blevins and husband Rocky of Abingdon, Va. and Christy Jean Anderson of Abingdon, Va.; sister-in-law, Jean Myers Cuk; six grandchildren, Patty Pasco, R.J. Pasco and wife Beth, Becca Jenkins and husband Landon, Travis Hurley, Ethan Reynolds, and David McGraw; and four great grandchildren, Levi Pasco-Wise, Livy Zier, David Jett Pasco, Bryant Jenkins, and Carter Jenkins; lifelong friend, Lova Judge; and faithful canine companion, Sunny.

A funeral ceremony will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 29, 2017, at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Dr. Ralph Kidd and Rev. Barbara Farmer officiating. Entombment will follow in the Colonial Chapel Mausoleum of Forest Hills Memory Gardens where Rocky Blevins, R.J. Pasco, Landon Jenkins, Travis Hurley, Ethan Reynolds, and Ricky Anderson will serve as pallbearers. Dr. James Schrenker will serve as an honorary pallbearer. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. Sunday, May 28, 2017, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pleasant View United Methodist Church, 18416 Lee Highway, Abingdon, Va. 24210, or the Washington County Animal Shelter, 27252 Porter Ln., Abingdon, Va. 24211.
