Paul David Rowe, age 48, of Bristol, Va., passed away on Wednesday, December 19, 2018, at his home, in the arms of his loving family. He spent his entire working career with Air Gas Mid-America (Industrial Gas and Supply). Paul loved hunting and fishing, especially with his hunting buddy, Uncle Bob. He and his family are forever grateful for the gift of life, a kidney, donated by Peggy Gobble.
Paul was predeceased by his parents, Walt and Ava Jean Rowe; paternal grandparents, Coy and Myrtle Rowe; maternal grandparents, Arnold and Carrie Clevinger.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Holloway Rowe; children, Kari Lynn Hughes (Travis), Jonathan McCoy Rowe (Alexis), and Danica Shay Rowe; granddaughter, Addison Lynn Hughes; sister, Pamela Clevinger; sister-in-law, Lisa O’Neill; father-in-law, John Holloway; and his fur-buddy, Colt.
A funeral service will be at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, December 21, 2018, at the Forest Hills Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Pastor Roger Phelps officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. at the Forest Hills Chapel prior to the service. Interment will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 22, 2018, in Forest Hills Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Zachary Avery, Ryan Bunnell, Jared Clevinger, Jeff Davenport, Jeff Gibson, Travis Hughes, Bryan Holloway, and Jeff Widener.
The family would like to offer heartfelt thanks to Dr. Bradley Rogers and Dr. Sath Poobalasingham, and Belinda Connor, Transplant Coordinator, for the love and care given to Paul during his illness.
