Pauline Virginia (Wise) King passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at Johnston Memorial Hospital. She enjoyed a wonderful life of 98 years. Pauline was a native of Washington County, Va. She enjoyed her flowers and gardening, and spent her life making a home for her family. She was a member of Mount Carmel Christian Church.

Pauline was preceded in death by Ernest Lee King, her husband of 56 years; her parents Bill and Julie Wise; her sons Dewey Lee King and Ernest (Junior) King and his wife Opal. She is survived by her sons Edward Eugene King and wife Betty Ann, Bill W. King and wife Kimberly, and Curtis C. King and wife Kim all of Abingdon; daughter Peggy Ann and husband Bill Mink of Meadowview; daughter-in-law Betty Mae King; grandchildren Debbie, Donna, Lisa, Jay, Sammy, Blake, Shannon, Geno, Larissa, Teresa, Harmonie, Monica, Jakima, and Jessica; 22 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM, on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Pastors Nick Viers and Benny Repass officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memory Gardens. Casket bearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Friday, January 26, 2018 at the funeral home.

The family expresses great thanks to the staff at Grace Healthcare and care givers Wanda Armes and Janice Robins for the love and care shown to Pauline during her time of need.
