Pearl Browning Wimmer, 88, a lifelong resident of Washington County, VA passed away Friday, March 26, 2010 at her home.
She was born November 5, 1921 and was a daughter of the late Richard and Mary Snodgrass Browning. She loved being outdoors working in her yard and her garden. She was a retiree of Harwood and was a member of Meadowview First United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James "Jabo" Wimmer; and brothers, Orville, Lynn, H.S. and Charlie Browning.
Survivors are her granddaughter, Linda Jessee and husband, Mike of Abingdon; daughter, Joyce Reynolds of Myrtle Beach, SC; brother, Sam Browning and wife, Evelyn of Abingdon; granddaughter, Miranda Williams of Myrtle Beach, SC; special great grandchildren, Jamie and Brittany Vicars as well as three additional great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Monday March 29, 2010 in the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Rev. David Jackson officiating. Interment will follow in Knollkreg Memorial Park in Abingdon.
Pallbearers will be Jamie Vicars, Denny Buckles, Randy Reynolds, Eddie Counts, Charles Richard Browning and Doug Finley. Honorary Pallbearers will be Sheriff Fred Newman, Dr. Shaffer and Tony Henegar.
The family will receive friends at Farris Funeral Service from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Sunday evening.
