Pearl S. Poston Anderson

Pearl S. Poston Anderson, 85, of Pottstown, PA and formerly of Washington County, VA, passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at St. Joseph Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Clifton M. Anderson who passed in 2000. They would have shared 70 years of marriage this past May. Pearl was born June 1, 1931 in Plasterco, VA. She was a daughter of the late Joseph E. Poston and Elizabeth (Thomas) Poston. Pearl was a member at Coventry Hills Church of Christ Pottstown, PA. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Frances A. Bowersox of Pottstown, PA, Brenda A. Moore of Chester, VA, Melva J. Widener, wife of CJ of Glade Springs, VA, Kenneth C. Anderson, husband of Linda of Pottstown, PA, Gary W. Anderson of Pottstown, PA, and Maynard Anderson, husband of Justine of Pottstown, PA; ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she is predeceased by her son, James E. Anderson, and several siblings.

Visitation with the family will be held 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, November 16, 2016, at the Forest Hills Chapel of Farris Funeral Service, 19415 Lee Highway, Abingdon, VA. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at the Forest Hills Chapel of Farris Funeral Service. Interment will follow in Mt. Rose Cemetery, Glade Spring, VA.
