Peggy Gilly McClung passed away Thursday, January 2, 2014 at Flagler Hospital in St. Augustine, FL after an extended illness. Mrs. McClung was born in Bristol, VA and had been a resident of Putnam County, FL for 35 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Charles C. McClung. She is survived by two sons, Charles C. McClung and wife Debra of Clarksburg, WV, and James G. McClung of San Mateo, FL; daughter Jane McClung Palmer and husband John of Interlachen, FL; two sisters, Betty J. Gilly and Ann Gilly Williams, both of Bristol, VA; nephews, James M. Gilly, Alan Gilly, David Gilly, John Nicar, and Larry Gilly; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Graveside services for Peggy Gilly McClung will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 11, 2014 in the Knollkreg Memorial Park, Abingdon, VA with Rev. Leroy Hull officiating. Afterwards, she will be laid to rest next to her husband of 59 years. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am noon on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service.
