Peggy Sue Fields, 67, went to be with the Lord Monday, April 5, 2010 at her home.
She was a lifelong resident of Washington County, VA and was a daughter of the late Elmer and Orpha Booher Phelps. She was a member of Barnes Chapel Church, was a wonderful cook, and loved flowers. She was a true prayer warrior and never lost faith in God.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three special friends, Becky Nunley, Geraldine Reynolds and Joyce Fields.
Survivors are her husband, James A. Fields; sons, J. Todd Fields of Abingdon and Gregory A. Fields and wife, Lesa of Abingdon; her brother, Roger Phelps and wife, Peggy of Bristol, VA; four sisters, Temple Tignor and husband, Earl, Wanda Price and husband, George, and Christine Harless all of Bristol, VA and Faye Hickman and husband, Jack of Kingsport, TN; five grandchildren, Cameron, Malaysha, Scylar, Levi and Austin; special friend, Jeff Kennedy and several nieces and nephews and a host of friends too numerous to name.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at Forest Hills Memory Gardens with Brian Rasnake and Zack Wynegar officiating.
Pallbearers will be Cameron Fields and family and friends.
The family will receive friends at the Forest Hills Chapel of Farris Funeral Service, 19415 Lee Hwy, Abingdon, VA from 1:00 until 1:50 P.M. Wednesday.
