Pheby Ellen Sailor, 92, passed Thursday, March 22, 2012. Mrs. Sailor was a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Sailor, son, Charles Sailor, parents, Joseph and Chloie Sheets Shaw, and grandson Tracey Sailor.
She is survived by six sons, David "Buddy" Sailor, Raymond Sailor, Bobby Sailor, Jackie Sailor, Ricky Sailor, and Michael Sailor; three daughters, Elizabeth Farmer, Irene Anderson and Joyce Hicks; two sisters, Maudie Roark and Marie Rutledge; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be conducted 1p.m., Saturday, March 24, 2012, at Forest Hills Memory Gardens. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery by 12:50 pm. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation with the family will be 5-8 P.M. Friday, March 23, 2012 at the Forest Hills Chapel of Farris Funeral Service, 19415 Lee Highway, Abingdon, VA.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Johnson City Veterans Hospital in Mrs. Sailor's name.
