Phyllis Jane Bowers

Phyllis Jane Bowers, age 72, passed away on Monday, April 8, 2024. She was born in Abingdon, VA to George and Ruby Anderson on April 6, 1952. 

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Jackie “Tuff” Bowers; one sister, Virginia Hoss and three brothers Sam Anderson, Larry Anderson, and Clyde Anderson.

Survivors include her two daughters Pamela Blevins (Bobby) and Amy Strouth (Roy); her sister Elizabeth Roark (Martin J.); brother Roger Anderson; five grandchildren Megan Hicks (Chris), Kellie Smith (Jacob), Keith Davidson, Kristen Dickey, and Kimberly Dickey; five great grandchildren Connor Whitaker, Maizey Hicks, Kinleigh Dickey, Karson Davidson, and Bexley Smith.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, April 12, 2024, at 11:00 AM in the Forest Hill Memory Gardens with Minister Ron Musick officiating.

The family would like to thank the Vanderbilt Critical Care Team, Life Flight, and Dr. Anthony J. Langone.
