Ralph Eugene (Gene) Anderson

Ralph Eugene (Gene) Anderson, age 84, of Abingdon, VA and formerly of Waterford, MI, went to be with the Lord on August 3, 2015. Gene was born in Grundy, VA on November 22, 1931 and was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Mae Anderson, his brother Edward Anderson, and his sister Helen (Paul) Shepherd. He is survived by his loving wife Fran Anderson; his beloved children, daughter Deborah Anderson Paul, son Greg Anderson; brothers and sisters, Jeannette (Paul) Ratliff, Howard Anderson, Bunia (Ken) Wortz, Albert Anderson, David (Linda) Anderson, and Phyllis (Lloyd) Whitt; and many loving nieces and nephews. Gene retired from Pontiac Motors where he was a General Supervisor. He enjoyed being a greeter at Highlands Fellowship Church, where he had many loving friends. The family would like to offer heartfelt thanks to Gene’s caregivers and neighbors. A crypt side funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday August 6, 2015 in the Colonial Mausoleum at Forest Hills Memory Gardens with Pastor Bill Edmonds officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM in the mausoleum prior to the service.
