Ray Burns, 90 passed away on Sunday, December, 26, 2010 in Bristol, VA.
Mr. Burns was a veteran who served his country as an officer in the Navy during World War II in the Pacific Theater. He had also worked as a plant manager for several dairy bottling plants during his career.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Neubert Burns.
Survivors are his son and daughter-in-law, Edwin and Julie Burns of Abingdon, VA; granddaughters, Elizabeth and Sarah Burns; and sister, Nancy Cunningham of Republic, MO
Funeral services for Ray Burns will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, December 30, 2010 in the Chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home in London, KY with Dr. Terry Lester officiating. Interment will follow in the A.R. Dyche Memorial Park in London. The family will be receiving friends beginning at 6:00 P.M., Wednesday December 29, 2010 at House-Rawlings Funeral Home.
A memorial gathering is scheduled for Tuesday, January 4, 2010 from 6:00 â?? 8:00 P.M. at Farris Funeral Service in Abingdon, VA for friends wishing to visit with the family.
