Glade Spring, VA Raymond D. Tolliver, age 69, went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 1, 2014, at his home. Raymond was born December 20, 1944, in Raleigh County, WV to the late William Audry Tolliver and Lola Sizemore Tolliver. Mr. Tolliver was a U.S. Army Veteran and previously employed by Ingersoll-Rand and Marion Composites. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Doris Lee Shumate Tolliver; and brothers Robert Tolliver, Gary Tolliver, and twin brother, Waymond Tolliver. He is survived by his wife Libby Orr Owens Tolliver; children, Jennifer Renee Tolliver-Cook and husband Mark of Beckley, WV; Kevin Dean Tolliver and wife Sherry of Goldsboro, NC; Rebecca L. Eldreth and husband Lorne of Glade Spring, VA; and Travis A. Owens and wife Jennifer of Lebanon, VA; brothers, Rondell Tolliver of Raven Cliff, WV, and Dewayne Tolliver and wife Jane of West Virginia; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and special friend, Carol Goodpasture. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, September 4, 2014, at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Pastor Charlie Fugate officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Rose Cemetery with Travis A. Owens, Trevor A. Owens, Peyton E. Owens, Joseph A. Crane, Shelby E. Crane, and William B. Blevins serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Rondell Tolliver, Dewayne Tolliver, Morris Orr, Jeff Goodpasture, Jonathan Goodpasture, Lorne Eldreth, and Shawn Hairston. Military Rites will be conducted by the Virginia National Guard. Visitation with the family will be held 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
