Rebecca Joan Sykes

Bristol, VA – Rebecca Joan “Granny” Sykes, age 59, passed on Friday, January 23, 2015, at Bristol Regional Medical Center. Rebecca attended Household of Faith Community Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, Gordon and Mary Elizabeth Jackson Sykes; daughter, Shawna Deneen Sykes; and sisters, Regina Ann Sword and Roxie Elizabeth Sykes. She is survived by one son, Christopher Lee Sykes; brother, Cecil Sykes; grandchildren, Chris C. Sykes, Calin Morton, Talsianna Fuson, MaKayla Sykes, Dominick Worley, and Kierra; two great-grandchildren, Malayah Cook and Ta’Layja Roller; several nephews; and three loving friends, the “Duckette’s”, Donald, Nita, and Frani. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 31, 2015, at the Household of Faith Community Church with Pastor Jackie Nolphin officiating.
