Robert H. Gray

West Chester, OH - Robert H. Gray, age 77, passed away on December 12, 2017 in Cincinnati, OH.  He was born in Abingdon, VA on January 24, 1940 to Harry and Nell Gray.  Mr. Gray leaves behind his wife of 50 years, Carole; son, Dr. Steven R. Gray of Raleigh, NC; sister, Patty (John) Clark of Abingdon, VA; sister-in-law, Yvonne (Marvin) Beckner of Roseville, MI; and a host of nieces, nephews, and dear cousins.  Robert was a graduate of Clemson University, and took a position at General Electric in June, 1963 and retired in 2002.  He completed course work for a Master's in Mechanical Engineering at U.C, and had an MBA from Xavier University.  He was a great Clemson Tiger fan, and an avid student of history, amassing a huge library during his lifetime.  He held a private pilot's license and loved flying gliders as well as flying model airplanes when he was younger.  A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April, 14, 2018, in Green Springs Presbyterian Church.  Memorials may be made to IPTAY Fund at Clemson University (P.O Box 1529, Clemson, SC, 29633) or to Green Spring Presbyterian Church (22007 Green Spring Church, Rd., Abingdon, VA 24211). Those wishing to express sympathy online may do so by visiting www.farrisfuneralservice.com and signing the online guest register. The family of Robert H.
