Abingdon, VA – Robert James "Bob" Denys, age 75, passed on Saturday, June 24, 2017, in Johnston Memorial Hospital. Mr. Denys was a U.S. Army Veteran and served in the Vietnam Conflict. He was a truck driver for 44 years. He is preceded in death by his son, Robert James Denys, Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Gina Denys; daughters, Dawn Smith Vann of Michigan and Kimberly Anderson of Ohio; son, Kelly Ray Denys of Ohio; brother, John Denys of Ohio; grandchildren, Dee Dee Winchester, Nakota Denys, Jadyn Denys, Elija Denys, Aaron Adkins, and Jessica Zeno; and several great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
