Robert Lee Mabe

Abingdon, VA Robert Lee Bob Mabe, age 77, passed on Friday, May 13, 2016 in Johnston Memorial Hospital. Bob was a U.S. Army Veteran and a member of Gospel Tabernacle. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Grady and Carrie Holmes Mabe; brothers, Walter Mabe and Tommy Mabe; and sisters, Gladys Mann and Barbara Wise.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Clair Hughes Mabe; two sons, David Mabe and wife Cheri of Charlotte, NC and Daryl Mabe and wife Cindy of Glade Spring, VA; one daughter, LeDonna Stuart and husband Mike of Boiling Springs, SC; one siser, Dixie Pearl Miller and husband Mark of Meadowview, VA; six grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.

A private graveside service will be held in Forest Hills Memory Gardens with Pastor David Robins and Pastor Brent Stuart officiating. Military rites will be conducted by Highlands Veterans Honor Guard and the Virginia National Guard.
