Robert Lee Walden

Saltville, VA – Robert Lee Walden, age 64 and of the Hayter’s Gap Community, passed on Sunday, March 12, 2017, in Johnston Memorial Hospital. Robert was a graduate of Patrick Henry High School and worked as an electrician and roofer for many years. He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Alice A. Dennison Walden; fiancée, Diane Shotyinski; brothers, Mike and Tommy Walden; and grandson, Ethen Walden.

Robert is survived by his son, Robby Walden and wife Anna of Bristol, VA; brother, Henry Walden of Saltville, VA; sisters, Shirley Barrett of Charlotte, NC, Betty Jo Blevins and husband Eddie of Saltville, VA, and Peggy Walden of Saltville, VA; grandchildren, Cameron and Calli Sue Walden; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family will be held 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 15, 2017, at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Rev. Clark Powers officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memory Gardens with Thomas Blevins, James Blevins, Elvis Blevins, Kevin Chaffin, Mike Sadler, John Maye, Jarrod Ball, Roy Griffith, Jr., and Jimmy Ball serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Crystal Chaffin, Isaac Chaffin, Zach Blevins, Tyler Blevins, and Dekota Sadler.
