Robert Wesley "Wes" Crabtree

Dateline: Meadowview, VA- Robert Wesley “Wes” Crabtree, age 47, of Meadowview, VA, passed away Thursday, August 13, 2015, from injuries sustained in a tragic automobile accident. Wes was a devoted husband, father, papa, son, brother, and friend. He was a kind, gentle spirit with a loving heart. His time here was much too short, but he made a lasting impression on everyone he met. He was employed at Steel Fab for eighteen and a half years where he was loved and respected by his coworkers. Wes was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Ferd and Mona Crabtree; and maternal grandparents, Victor and Roxie Meadows. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Robinson Crabtree; son, Shane Crabtree and wife Megan of NY; two daughters, Jayden Crabtree of Abingdon, VA and Ashlynn Crabtree of the home; two step-daughters, Brittney Barr and husband Derrick of Green Cove, VA and Kirsten Sykes of the home; two grandchildren, Emma and Garrett Barr. He is also survived by his loving parents, Carson Leon Crabtree, Sr. and Victoria Meadows Crabtree of Cleveland, VA; brother, Carson Leon Crabtree, Jr. and wife Amanda of Meadowview, VA; sister, Brenda West and husband Mark of Richmond, VA; one niece and nephew, Tara and Ethan Crabtree; and mother and father-in-law, Randal and Christine Robinson. A funeral ceremony will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 17, 2015, at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Pastor Eddie Gobble, Preacher Darrell Watson, and Pastor David Robins officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memory Gardens where Brandon McMurray, Brian Powers, Derrick Barr, Steve Forrester, Dallas Rasnake, Mark West, and Lonnie Perkins will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be coworkers and friends at Steel Fab. Visitation will be from 6:00p.m.-8:00p.m. Sunday, August 16, 2015, at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service.
