Roberta Venable Roberts

Roberta "Mae" Venable Roberts, 80, passed away Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at Johnston Memorial Hospital.
Mae was born in Washington County, VA on February 2, 1931 to the late Walter and Della Holley Venable. She was a member of Plasterco Church of God. Mae was preceded in death by her husband, Garland Roberts and two brothers, Luther and James Venable.
Survivors include one son, Jerry Roberts of Glade Spring, VA; one daughter, Bonnie Baldwin and her husband, Joe of Abingdon; one brother, Don Venable of Abingdon; one sister, Kathleen McHugh, Santa Rosa, CA; four grandchildren, Heather Hurley and Shannon Roberts, both of Glade Spring, Samantha Roberts and Jodi Baldwin, both of Abingdon; one great grandson, Blake Ryan; and several nieces and nephews.
The graveside service for Mae Roberts will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2011 at 2:30 pm at Mount Rose Cemetery with Pastor Sherman Fields officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 4, 2011 at Farris Funeral Service from 6-8 pm.
