Rodney Lewis Chapman

Abingdon, VA- Rodney Lewis Chapman, age 55, passed on Sunday, May 11, 2014, in Murrells Inlet, SC. Rodney was born and raised in Roanoke, VA and moved to Abingdon, VA 23 years ago after meeting his wife. He was employed at Xpedx for several years and was a member of Glenrochie Country Club. In his younger years he enjoyed playing recreational ice hockey and softball. Later, Rodney spent time playing golf, umpiring softball games, and along with his wife, socializing with many great friends. Rodney is preceded in death by his father, Jay Chapman. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Natalie England Chapman; mother, Dottie Denison; and siblings, Rick Chapman, Dennie Denison, III, Chuck Denison, Becky Patsel, Tony Chapman, and Chris Chapman. A celebration of Rodney’s life will be held at 4:00 p.m., Friday, May 16, 2014, by the #18 Green of Glenrochie Country Club with Luther Roberts officiating. In honor of Rodney’s wishes, please dress casually for the service. The family request that memorials be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O.
