Roger Dale Sullivan

Roger Dale Sullivan, age 54, passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2022, at Johnson City Medical Center. He was born in Bristol, Va. and had spent his life in this area. Roger was a roofer and worked in construction his entire life. His building and wood working abilities served him well and he was always making and building things for his home and grandchildren. His grand babies gave him joyous pleasure. His family will always remember him as being the dependable rock, through the good times and bad. Roger was of the Baptist faith.

He was predeceased by his parents Junior and Frances Sullivan, brothers Johnny, David, Donald, and Gale, sister Bea.

Roger is survived by his wife Polly, son Steven, stepsons Jimmy and Luke Cox, brother Woody, sisters Debra Phelps and Kathy Skeens, 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, special family friend Cathy Harrison. Also surviving are 2 special nieces Trish Stanley and Jamie Smith.

The family will receive friends at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service on Wednesday, December 14, 2022, from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, December 15, 2022, at Forest Hills Memory Gardens with Michelle Moore serving as officiant. Pallbearers will be Woody Sullivan, Jason Sullivan, Gale Lynn Sullivan, Leroy Sullivan, Cecil Lester, Tommy Hicks, and Jonathon Chapman. Those attending the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery 15 minutes before the service.
