Ronald Edward "Ronnie" Ratcliffe

Ronald Edward “Ronnie” Ratcliffe, age 64, of Glade Spring, Va, went to be with his Lord, on October 26, 2021. An avid sports fan and train enthusiast, Ronnie was also a talented cook who enjoyed making food for himself and others. He loved his grandchildren and they were the light of his life. He was especially grateful for his granddaughter and nurse, Harper. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Mabel Haga Ratcliffe; his paternal grandparents, James and Katie Ratcliffe Crowe; his maternal grandparents, Preston Haga and Zella Haga; three sisters, Patsy Thompson, Shirley Ratcliffe, and Connie Ratcliffe; and brother-in-law, Mark Jackson. 

He is survived by two daughters Crystal Dea (Kenny), Hope Leeper (Robert); one son Adam Roark; two brothers, Jimmy Ratcliffe (Nancy), and Jackie Ratcliffe (Martha); one sister, Debbie Jackson; one brother-in-law, Bobby Thompson; several beloved grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 29, 2021, at 3:00 P.M., at the Old Glade Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Pastor Brandon Hensley officiating. Mike Davisdon, Scott Blaylock, Craig Jackson, Steven Thompson, Randy Thompson, and Austyn Roark will serve as pallbearers. Bobby Thompson, Eric Thompson, Brian Ratcliffe, and the Emory & Henry Tailgaters group will serve as honorary pallbearers. A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 28, 2021 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service.
