Mrs. Rosa Elizabeth Fields, 70, passed away Thursday, April 1, 2010 at her residence.
She was a lifelong resident of Washington County, Virginia and attended the Duncanville
Church.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda Fields, three brothers, Burton, Bill and Jack Thompson, a sister, Marcella Dunn.
She is survived by her husband, Dewey Fields, two daughters, Bonnie Smith and husband Glenn, Angie Chapman and husband Sam all of Abingdon, VA, grandchildren, Jamie Smith, Benny Smith, Bobby Smith, Jessica Smith, Angela Smith, great grandchildren, Shawn Smith, Benny Robert Smith, Conner Smith, Montana Smith, Jawanna Roe, Elbert Tignor, Elizabeth Tignor, Gage Tignor, a sister in Christ, Joyce Sullins, brothers in Christ, John Morrison and Raymond Sullins.
The graveside service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, April 4, 2010 in the Mountain View Methodist Church Cemetery, Rt. 75, Abingdon, VA with Rev. Clark Powers and Rev. Hassel Justice officiating. All attending may assemble at the funeral home by 2:00 p.m. Sunday for the procession to the cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Benny Smith, Jamie Smith, Bobby Smith, Samuel Chapman, Vance Tignor, Robert Tignor.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Farris Funeral Home.
