Rosa "Rosie" Lee Lewis passed away on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at her home.
Rosa was born April 18 1919 in Washington, Co., VA to the late Elihue Neal and Susie Dunn Neal.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Lewis; her daughter Charlene Byars; grandson, Billy Haworth; two brothers, Hubert Neal and Sherman Neal; four sisters, Lucille Burnette, Lillian Martin, Margie Shaw and Hettie Mae Fulton.
Survivors include four sons, Marvin Campbell and his wife, Betty of Bristol, VA, Dennis Campbell and his wife, Carol of Wharton, TX, David Lewis, Jr. and his wife, Faye of Abingdon, and Edward Lewis and his wife, Tracy of Kissimmee, FL; three daughters, Nancy Haworth and her husband, Bill of Abingdon, Ann Gobble and her husband, Roy of Abingdon, and Ruby Roark of Chilhowie; 20 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 19, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Mountain View United Methodist Church Cemetery with Pastor Junior Gobble officiating. Pallbearers will be Bill Haworth, Don Minnick, Jr., Bradley Byars, Dennis Campbell,David Lewis, Jr. and Dub Prater.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 from 6-8:00 p.m. at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
