Rosemary Ellen Mann Bennington

Abingdon, VA Rosemary Ellen Mann Bennington, 78, passed away peacefully with her son and daughter-in-law by her side, on Tuesday, October 14, 2014, at her home. She is preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, James Harold Bennington; parents, Emerson Lee Mann and Mary Elizabeth McCarty Mann; and brother, Emerson “Sonny” Mann, Jr. Mrs. Bennington was a loving and devoted wife and mother. She and her husband owned and operated Crest Motel in Bristol, VA for 28 years. She is survived by her son, Rev. Dr. James L. Bennington and wife Tami of Newport, TN; special feline friends, Snoopy and Bootsie; and many special friends and neighbors. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m., Friday, October 17, 2014, at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Rev. Steven Lee officiating. Visitation with the family will be following the service from 7-8 p.m. The family would like extend special thanks to Wellmont Hospice, Dr. Thomas Townsend, and caregivers Kathy Harrison, Joy Gibson, and Peggy Jordan.
