Roy James Dye

Roy James Dye, age 72, went to be with the Lord on Saturday January 7th, 2012 at Wellmont Hospice House. Born in Berwind , WV to the late Grover C. Dye and Edna Boyd Dye, Mr. Dye retired from Kroger Co. after 35 years of service. He enjoyed performing as guest lead singer with several local bands and spending time with his family.

Survivors include loving wife of 52 years Edith Cox Dye, daughter Karen and husband Richard (Rick) Hoskins; daughter Sandy and husband Robert (Robbie) Rosenbalm; and a precious granddaughter Terra Hoskins.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday January 10th, 2012 at the Forest Hills Chapel of Farris Funeral Service, 19415 Lee Highway , Abingdon with the Rev. Todd Asbury officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm Tuesday until the time of service. The burial will follow at Forest Hills Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
