Ruth Mary Saddler

Ruth Mary Saddler, 81, passed away at her home on Thursday, August 9, 2018.  She was a military wife and dedicated her life to making a home for her husband and raising 6 children by herself when he was away.  She continued her love of traveling after retirement. Ruth always enjoyed the company of a good book.  She was of Baptist faith.

Ruth was predeceased by her parents Harold Lester and Edith Ruth Stormer; her husband Jackie Lee Saddler; daughter Patricia Stillwell, and brother-in-law Erv Graf. She is survived by her sons James Lee Saddler and wife Linda of Piney Flats, Tenn., John Saddler and wife Dana of Wilmington, Ohio; daughters Sue Ellison Davis and husband Mitch of Thomasville, N.C., Carrie Eskridge and husband Eddie of Wideners Valley, Va., and Becky Stallard and husband Shawn of Abingdon, Va.; sister Patricia Graf of Madison, Wis.; sister-in-law Mary Jean Stormer of Madison, Wis.; 14 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and special friends George and Bonnie Davis of Glade Spring.

NOTE TIME CHANGE: A crypt side service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, August 13, 2018 at Mount Rose Cemetery; Glade Spring, Va. Casket bearers will be selected from family members. Those attending the service are asked to meet at the mausoleum not later than 15 minutes prior to the service.
