Sammy James Eastridge

Sammy James Eastridge, age 60, of Emory, Va., passed away on Monday, April 26, 2021, at his residence.  He retired from Emory & Henry College after 31 years of service in the maintenance department.  He was well loved by the community.   

Sammy was preceded in death by his parents, Carl William Eastridge and Carrie Caudill Eastridge; brother, Bill Eastridge; and a brother-in-law, Jackie Terry.   

He is survived by his daughter, Carrie Eastridge and fiance, Cody, of Linwood, N.C.; best friend, Diana Eastridge of Thomasville, N.C.; brother, David Eastridge of Emory, Va.; sister, Betty Terry of Hopewell, Va.; and several nieces and nephews. 

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 29, 2021, at 12:00 p.m. in Holston Conference Cemetery with Pastor Adam Wolfe officiating.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 28, 2021, from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Fresenius Kidney Care, 341 Falls Dr. NW, Abingdon, Va. 24210.
