Sandra Faye Holbrook

Sandra Faye Holbrook, age 65, of Meadowview, Va., passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2019, at Johnston Memorial Hospital. She was born in Washington County, Va. and was a member of Life Line Ministries in Meadowview. Prior to her illness, Sandra worked as a Medicaid Representative with the Washington County Department of Social Services. During her illness, she found joy in listening to audio books. 

Sandra was predeceased by her husband, George Allen Holbrook; mother, Patricia E. Howell; grandparents, Fred and Trula Howell; one aunt, several uncles; special niece, Nakeesha Colquitt; and special fur baby, King. 

She is survived by her sister, Linda Colquitt, of Bristol, Va.; aunt, Regina “Jenny” Surber and husband, Buster, of Chilhowie, Va.; uncles, David Howell, of Chilhowie, Va. and Jerry Howell and wife, Wendy, of Marion, Va.; nephew, Mack Colquitt, Jr., of Bristol, Va.; special great niece, Halea Colquitt, of Bristol, Va.; special great nephew, Xavier Colquitt, of Abingdon, Va.; special cousin, Denise Surber, of Richmond, Va.; special friends, Thelma and Tub Plummer, of Abingdon, Va., Gary and Barbara Davis of Meadowview, Va., Danny and Shelby Hollyfield of Chilhowie, Va.; and two fur babies, John Henry and Ebony Rose.

The family would like to offer heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at Johnston Memorial Hospital Progressive Care Unit, and to Nurse Aliese Harrison for going the extra mile in showing love and care for Sandra and for helping the family through a sad time. 

A memorial service at Life Line Ministries will be announced later.
