Sarah Elizabeth Roberts Stevens, known for her role as a dedicated homemaker, peacefully passed away on June 2, 2024. She was born on May 20, 1932 to her loving parents, Henry Roberts and Mary Widner Roberts.
Sarah was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Fleenor Stevens; son, Richard Stevens; granddaughter, Sara Marie Rutherford; four brothers and one sister.
Sarah's life was one filled with warmth and she devoted herself to creating a loving home for her family. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life; from mowing her three acres of land to whipping up delicious meals for those she held dear. Her culinary creations will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of tasting them.
She is survived by her sister, Daisy Thomas; daughter, Linda Stevens; daughter-in-law, Jeannie Stevens; grandson, Canaan Stevens (Jennifer) and their daughter, Audrey; granddaughters, Ashley Williams (Andrew), McKenzie Stevens; along with several nieces and nephews.
In reflecting on Sarah's life, it is evident that she leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering dedication to her family. She will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. As Sarah was a simple lady, she would ask that you come as you are to her service. The funeral service for Sarah will be held at 6:00 p.m. on June 6, 2024, at Farris Funeral Service - Main Street Chapel with Rev. Tim Stevens officiating. The visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. prior to the funeral. A committal service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 7th, 2024, at Montgomery Cemetery in the Dentons Valley Community.
May Sarah Elizabeth Roberts Stevens rest in eternal peace as her memory continues to live on in the hearts of those who cherished her presence. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
