Sheila Ann Reynolds

Sheila Ann Reynolds, age 57, of Abingdon, Va., passed away on Monday, October 17, 2016, at her home. She was born to the late Herbert Cleveland Widener and Mary Ann Burke Widener on October 25, 1958. She was employed as a preschool teacher for 17 years at Sinking Spring Presbyterian and she had worked as an EMT with Highland Rescue Squad . She will be remembered as an avid flower gardener who enjoyed holidays. Shelia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all.

In addition to her parents, Sheila was also preceded in death by two brothers, Mark and Michael Widener.

Sheila is survived by her husband, David Reynolds; six sons: James H. Murray, Jr. and wife Lila Dawn Wright of Abingdon; Mark Widener of Glade Spring, Va.; Landon Miller, Hayden Miller, and Trevin McCauley all of Abingdon; two daughters, Angel Willis and husband Joey of Glade Spring and Savannah Reynolds of Abingdon; two brothers, Samuel David Widener of Bedford, Va. and Joseph Widener of Abingdon; three grandchildren, Brian Jenkins Jr., Jossie Willis, and Keiffer Willis; three great grandchildren, Logan, Riley Jade, and Levi Joe Jenkins; over 150 foster children; and life long friend, Jimmy Murray and very special friend, Robert Fondakowski.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, October 20, 2016, in Forest Hills Memory Gardens with Rev. Stan Green officiating. The family will receive friends in the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service from 1p.m. until 1:50 p.m. Thursday. All those wishing to attend the graveside are asked to meet at the funeral home by 1:50 p.m. Pallbearers will be family members.
