Shelby Jean Hoss

Shelby Jean Moore Hoss, age 78, passed away on Saturday, February 4, 2023, at Bristol Regional Medical Center. She was born in Smyth County, VA, on June 14, 1944, to the late John Franklin Moore and Bonnie Mae Hampton Moore, she was one of fourteen children. Shelby loved animals and working outside.

Survivors include her grandson John Saltz and his wife Brittany Craven; granddaughter, Trinity Saltz; and her special fur baby, Boots.

The family will receive friends on Friday, February 10, 2023 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the Main Street location of Farris Funeral Service. The funeral service will begin at 7:00 pm on Friday, February 10, 2023, with Daniel Hoss officiating. The burial will take place on Saturday, February 11, 2023, at 12:00 noon at 15402 Providence Rd., Abingdon, VA 24210, friends and family are asked to be at the gravesite by 11:45 am. Pallbearers will be John Saltz, William Yarber, Josh Craven, Roger Cline, Blake Andis and Benjamin Moore.
