Shelton Eugene Norris

Shelton Eugene Norris, age 83, of Abingdon, Va., went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 29, 2022. He was born May 30, 1938, to the late Leonard F. Norris and Bessie Roark Norris. Shelton retired from VDOT where he served as a draftsman. He was a devoted member of Fellowship Chapel Church.

In addition to his parents, Shelton was also preceded in death by his brother, Martin Junior Norris; four sisters, Mary Virginia Norris, Dorothy Alpha Proffitt, Letha Elizabeth Parris, and Eula Lee Skeen; and several nieces and nephews.
He is survived by a niece and two nephews.

A funeral ceremony will be held on Tuesday, May 3, 2022, at 7:00 p.m. at Fellowship Chapel Church, 201 Crockett St., Bristol, Va. 24201, with Pastor Scott Price and Pastor Bryan Hall officiating. A committal service will be held on Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. in the Colonial Chapel Mausoleum of Forest Hills Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Darren Miller, David Miller, Travis Miller, Cody Miller, Steve Miller, and Matt Miller. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Miller, David McCall, Robert Lee Leonard, Bob Kesner, Wade Eastridge, and Gary Hinch. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Fellowship Chapel Church.
