Shirley Ann Ratcliffe , 71, of Glade Spring, VA passed away on Monday, February, 28, 2011 after a courageous battle with cancer.
She spent her last days with the caring staff of Wellmont Hospice House and her loving daughters. She was a resident of Glade Spring, VA most of her life and was a member of First Church of God in Glade Spring. She was preceded in death by her loving soul mate and husband, Billy Ratcliffe; daughter, Joyce Ann Henegar and son, Sanford "Timmo" Parris.
She is survived by her brother, Richard Jolly; daughters, Vivian Parris and Lisa Parris; son, Michael Henegar; step daughters, Rita Defriece and Barbara Rutledge; granddaughters, Angel Ketron, Priscilla Counts, Amanda Parris, Victoria Callahan, April Parris and Kim Wooten; grandson, Timothy Ketron; great grandsons, Damian Wheeler and Aaron Light.
The family would like to thank her advocate, Angie Browning and the staff of Wellmont Hospice House.
A graveside service will be held at 11:30 A.M. Thursday, March 3, 2011 at Old Glade Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Dr. Don A. McGregor officiating. The family will receive friends at Farris Funeral Service from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. Thursday.
