Bristol, VA- Shirley Frances Boyd Stallard, age 79, passed away on Monday, March 30, 2015 at Johnston Memorial Hospital. She was born on January 23, 1936 the sixth of eleven children born to the late Homer Clark Boyd, Sr. and Lacy Dare Woodward Boyd. Shirley and her husband, Frank, owned and operated Bristol Castings for over 40 years. She will always be remembered as a devoted sister, wife, mother, and grandmother. Shirley was of the Pentecostal faith. In addition to her parents, Shirley was also preceded in death by six siblings, Mamie Buck, Earnest “Tom” Boyd, Homer Clark Boyd, Jr., Lillian Artrip, Jack Boyd, and Harold Boyd. Shirley is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Frank Stallard; daughter, Tammi Hayter and husband Ricky of Blacksburg, VA; son, Chad Stallard and wife Caron of Centreville, VA; two brothers, Frederick G. Boyd of Austin, TX and John R. Boyd and wife Peggy of Meadowview, VA; two sisters, Alta Price and husband Douglas of Chilhowie, VA and Linda Leonard of Bristol, VA; and three grandchildren: Morgan Hayter Parris and husband Jake of Blacksburg, VA; Miles Hayter of Blacksburg, VA; and Rylee Stallard of Centreville, VA. Visitation will be held from 5:00p.m.-7:00p.m. Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
