Shirley Jean Hinchey Johnson

Shirley Jean Hinchey Johnson, 74, passed away at her home on Sunday, May 27, 2012. Mrs. Johnson worked at Harwood in Abingdon for over 30 years and attended Cleveland Presbyterian Church. Shirley was also a familiar face at the Exit 14 Shell Station where she worked for over eight years and was preceded in death by her parents, Fletcher and Clifton Caldwell Hinchey, as well as one brother and four sisters.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Don Johnson; one son, Roger Johnson; two brothers, Charles and Donald Hinchey; four grandchildren, Kellie, Christy, Brandi and Michael Johnson and two great-grandchildren, Jacob Winebarger and Ashlyn Brown.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Rev. Barbara Farmer officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. View Methodist Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held 6:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.
