Slemp Reynolds, age 68, of Meadowview, Va., went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 13, 2018. He was born April 8, 1950, to the late Banner Reynolds and Dorothy Mae Reynolds. He was an avid outdoorsman and worked as a diesel mechanic in Washington County, Va. for many years.
In addition to his parents, Slemp was also preceded in death by his brother, Jay Reynolds; and sister, Penny Reynolds. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Margaret Lampkins Reynolds; two sons, Anthony Reynolds, Sr. and wife, Barbara, of Meadowview and James Reynolds of Meadowview; daughter, Carrie Casey of Chilhowie; four brothers; five sisters; seven grandchildren, who he loved dearly, Anthony Jr., Brady, Isaac, Autumn, Sawyer, Mattie, and Haven.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at Forest Hills Memory Gardens with the Rev. Fred Reynolds officiating. Pallbearers will be Alan Campbell, Jeff Campbell, Josh Casey, Isaac Nease, Anthony Reynolds, Jr., Brady Wise, and J.D. Wise. Slemp’s brothers and brothers-in-law will serve as honorary pallbearers. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m.-1:45 p.m. Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service. Flowers will be accepted.
