Sonja Faye Watson

Sonja Faye Watson, age 77, of Bristol, VA., was called Home to be with her Lord on Monday, March 14, 2022.

Sonja loved her family more than anything and showed her love through her wonderful cooking. She was always there for anyone who needed her; whether that was lending a listening ear, a shoulder to cry on, or someone to laugh with. She was especially fond of her great granddaughter Elana, and they spent many days together making countless memories.

Sonja is preceded in death by her mother Florence Myrtle Topping Cagle; her loving husband of 44 years Billy Wayne Watson; a daughter Jennifer Lynn Fulton; and two brothers Bobby Hanson and Donny Hanson.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter Connie Faye Ihle & husband Richard; two brothers Mac Hanson & wife Gail, and Marvin Hanson & wife Eunice; grandchildren Alexander Mays, Matthew Mays & wife Kendra, Ashley Watson, Christina Casey, Joshua Casey, & Charles Casey; great grandchildren Elena Faye Mays and Noah Ryan Mays; along with several nieces and nephews.

Private services will be held at the Main Street Chapel, Farris Funeral Service in Abingdon, VA. A private committal will follow at Forest Hills Memory Gardens.
