Sonja Ruth Clark

Sonja Ruth Clark, age 86, passed away Sunday, July 26, 2015 in Abingdon, Virginia. Mrs. Clark was born in Berlin, Germany, April 8, 1929. She met her husband Charlie Clark in Germany while he served in the United States Military. Mrs. Clark moved to Abingdon with her husband in 1969. Mrs. Clark loved to play bingo and loved her poodles. Besides her husband, Mrs. Clark is preceded in death by her parents Alfred and Gertrud Ochschim Kirsch. Mrs. Clark is survived by her sister, Inge Parker of Paola, Kansas and niece, Patty Marshall of Spring Hill, Kansas. The funeral service will be conducted at 2 pm, Thursday, July 30, 2015 in the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with the Reverend Dr. Bob Neace. Interment will follow in Knollkregg Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be family and friends. The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 29, 2015, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service.
