Stan Green

Stanley Wayne “Stan” Green, age 62, of Abingdon, Va., went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 29, 2021.  He was born to the late Bernard Andrew Green and Ida Geraline Perry Green in Crossville, Tenn.  Stan was a lifelong educator and most recently worked with the Washington County Virginia School System at the former Neff Vocational Center.  He served the Lord through his work at Pleasant View United Methodist Church where he served as Contemporary Pastor. Stan’s passion was truly loving others at the Knoxville Area Rescue Ministries.  

In addition to his parents, Stan was also preceded in death by his stepmother, Doris Green; and grandson, Reese Green.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Regina Mahan Green; nine children: Luke Green; Ira Green; Marty Green; Zach Green and wife, Brianne; Ashley Green; Lenard Green and wife, Robin; Samuel Green Nash and wife, Ashley; Jason Green and wife, Jessica; and Tommy Dockery; daughter-in-law, Candace Green; five siblings, Tonia Tollet and husband, Ted; Pam Green; Chris Green and wife, Lori; Dania Green; and April Bell; 10 grandchildren; and one great granddaughter.

A celebration of life will be livestreamed on Saturday, November 6, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. from Pleasant View United Methodist Church, 18416 Lee Hwy., Abingdon, Va., with the Rev. Dale Gilbert and the Rev.
