Stella Elizabeth Blackwell

Stella E. Blackwell, age 76, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 6, 2021. She was a lifelong resident of Abingdon, Va. and retired from Highlands Union Bank. Stella loved to garden, sew and play with her grandkids and great grandkids. 

She was predeceased by both parents, 3 brothers, and her husband of 55 years Earl Blackwell. 

Stella leaves behind daughters Tammy Simcox and husband Daryl, and Kathy Crusenberry and companion Chip McCall, Judy Blackwell, and son Tim Blackwell and wife Gina; 6 grandchildren Jennifer, Jonathan, Tabetha, Teddy, Madison and Garvey; 5 great grandchildren Hannah, Katlyn, Braydon, Aaron, and Catie; sister Millie Ferguson; brother Ed Orfield; several nieces and nephews. 

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM. Interment will be at Forest Hills Memory Gardens. 

COVID-19 Guidelines will be followed which includes wearing masks, social distancing and adhering to occupancy stipulations.
