Glade Spring, VA - Steven “Cowboy” Larmon, 64, died October 7, 2020, at his home in Glade Spring, Virginia. Mr. Larmon was born May 27, 1956, in Chicago, Illinois to Robert and Roberta (Bishop) Larmon. He attended Rich Central High School in Olympia Fields, Illinois, served in the military as a Staff Sergeant in the Army, and was an accomplished professional welder.
He enjoyed building his log cabin, “gardening”, cooking, and observing the wildlife on his beautiful property. Steven was passionate of his Irish heritage.
He is survived by his brother, Mark Larmon; sisters, Donna Geiger (Peter) and Tina Shultz (Bob); two sons, Josh Larmon (Adina) and Bear Larmon (Becky); several nieces and nephews; three grandchildren, Trinity, Keira, Cadence; and close friends, Terry Reay and Reno Mullins.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service. Military rites will be conducted by Highlands Veterans Honor Guard and the Virginia National Guard. There will be no visitation prior to the service. Face masks are required and social distancing practices are to be observed.
