Dateline: Abingdon, Va.- Susan Thompson Nease, age 57, passed away on Tuesday, November 17, 2015, at Bristol Regional Medical Center. She was born to the late Harry Newton Thompson and Wanda Richardson Thompson on May 11, 1958, in Bluefield, W.Va. Sue was raised in the Lutheran Church and maintains her membership at St. John Lutheran Church in Abingdon, Va. She was an employee of K-VA-T having served as an administrative assistant for nearly 20 years. Sue was a nature enthusiast who harbored a great love of animals and was a talented gardener. She is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Kenneth Wayne Nease; sister, Tamara Marie Thompson of Richmond, Va.; uncle, Tommy Thompson of Charleston, W. Va.; aunt, Dada Dye and husband Don of Bluefield, W.Va.; uncle David Richardson and wife Naomi of Bluefield, W.Va.; mother-in-law, Loretta Fields Nease of Cedar Bluff, Va.; two brothers-in-law, Gary Nease and wife Rhonda and Ray Nease and wife Barbara all of Cedar Bluff, Va.; sister-in-law, Sharon Nease of Cedar Bluff, Va.; and special friends: Ike and Diane Thomas of Abingdon, Va.; Molly Austin of Johnson City, Tenn.; and David Bays of Abingdon, Va. along with a host of friends and beloved pets. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 21, 2015, at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor Bob Smith officiating. David Bays, Adam Miller, Gary Nease, Ray Nease, and Ike Thomas will serve as honorary pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Margaret B.
