Susana Patricia Herrera

Ashburn, VA / Abingdon, VA – Susana Patricia Fuentes Prado Herrera, age 69, passed on Monday, August 22, 2022, at her daughter’s home in Abingdon, VA. Susana was born and raised in Chile before moving to the United States as a young adult. She lived many years in the Northern Virginia area before recently relocating to Abingdon. Susana worked for Loudon County Public Schools and recently retired as the Parent Liaison for the school system. She was very devoted to her faith and family, especially her grandchildren.
Susana was preceded in death by her parents, Gumercindo Fuentes Araya and Juana Guacolda Prado Gonzeles; and son, Andres Droguett.
She is survived by her husband, Alberto Herrera; children, Patricia Connolly, Hannah Mitchler and husband Timothy Mitchler, Sr.; and Samuel Herrera; brother, Jorge Eduardo Fuentes Prado and wife Patricia Rojas; grandchildren, Lucas Droguett, T.J. Mitchler, Jr., Andrea Mitchler, and Harper Mitchler; and special niece, Ximena Victoria Fuentes Rojas.
A memorial visitation with the family will be held 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, August 24, 2022, in the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service.
