Terry Lee Livingston, 66, passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2011.
He was born August 30, 1945 and was a son of the late Harold "Red" Ward and Maxine Elliott Livingston. He attended ETSU and graduated from the Medical College of Virginia Pharmacy School in 1970. A long-time resident of St. Paul, Terry served the community as owner of St. Paul Drug for many years. He also served as a town council member from 1974-1978 and as mayor from 1978-1984. While mayor, he acquired a grant from Sen. John Warner to begin the St. Paul Industrial Revitalization Project.
In addition to these accomplishments, Terry was a successful businessman having also owned Livingston Chevrolet in Castlewood, Fleetwood Energy and Livingston Homes. He was an accomplished golfer, Harley-Davidson enthusiast and had a lifelong love of animals. While he was a very private person, Terry cared about his community, family and friends with a quiet leadership and sharp wit that those who knew him best will certainly miss.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon Steffey Livingston; daughters, Lisa Livingston Thompson and husband, Gerald of Lexington, KY, Beth Livingston Mattern and husband, Bryan of Atlanta, GA and Amanda Leigh Hobbs of Marion, VA; sister, Fern Calhoun and husband, Lamar of Florida; and his four beloved dogs and bird.
At Mr. Livingston's request, no formal funeral services are being scheduled.
